Hi! I'm Samantha Luk, a Los Angeles-based UX/UI designer with a passion for crafting delightful human experiences. As a child of Chinese-Taiwanese immigrants, my background enriches my design approach with diverse cultural understandings and viewpoints.

My journey includes a background in Applied Psychology and Biological Sciences from UC Santa Barbara, where I engaged in impactful research and discovered my passion for analyzing human interactions with research.

Beyond academia, I also took on the role of an afterschool teacher, where I had to teach children starting from the basics, something we often assume others already know. This experience reminded me of the importance of considering diverse expertise and perspectives. It taught me to create designs that are intuitive and user-friendly for people of all ages and backgrounds, a lesson that now significantly informs my design philosophy.

My design expertise, combined with a love for art and a curious mind, has greatly influenced my professional journey. Beyond designing, I'm always ready for a challenge, whether it's learning a new skill, hiking to a new viewpoint, or exploring art galleries and playing Pokémon GO.
